Bet24 has today launched poker for both iPhone and Android devices, joining a handful of providers who already offer poker on-the-go. The new mobile platform will be powered by the Ongame Network.
Bet24 has today launched mobile poker for both iPhone and Android devices, joining an exclusive club of operators who already offer poker on-the-go.
Located in Malta, Bet24 has shown solid growth over the past few years, and the company's poker department is now ready to take the next step and go mobile, Lars Kollind, Poker Manager at Bet24, said in a press release.

"We're certain that mobile poker is the future. Just imagine sitting on the bus and getting the full game experience on your smartphone," Kollind said.
"We are thrilled that Ongame is the first network offering both Android and iPhone poker clients, and we can't wait to offer them to our players," he added.

The new mobile poker platform will be powered by the Ongame Network, which is also behind the company's regular poker client.
Ongame launched its first real-money poker app for iPhone in January, followed by another client for Android in July.

The software developer admitted to be excited about the new partnership and acknowledged that mobile poker is an area with great opportunities.
"Enormous possibilities open up now that poker is a game that players can take with them anywhere," said David Pittel, Managing Director of the Ongame Network.

"Everyone recognizes that mobile poker is the future and we expect to integrate many more of our partners over the coming months," he added.
The Android version of the new Bet24 app is already available for download at www.bet24.com.
The iPhone app will be released in the iTunes store for UK and Australian costumers today, and will be the first real-money poker app to be launched in Denmark on January 1st 2012.
